SEO Consultation · Working Session · Windsor & SW Ontario
After the audit, the conversation.
Where to fix first — and what to leave alone.
A 60-minute SEO consultation for SMB and mid-market operators across Windsor, Essex County, Chatham-Kent, Sarnia-Lambton, London, and the wider Southwestern Ontario corridor. Bring your account, your audit, and your goals open at the same time. We leave with a sequenced roadmap covering keyword strategy, technical foundations, content roadmap, and AI visibility — not a deck, not a pitch. Most operators do one consultation; some bring us back monthly.
Why a consultation
The audit names the leaks. The consultation decides the sequence.
- An SEO audit is the artefact — a written diagnostic. An SEO consultation is the working session that turns the diagnostic into a plan. Both are useful; most operators need both. The audit alone leaves you with a list. The consultation gives you sequence, trade-offs, and a defensible "what to fix first" you can take to a board or a budget owner.
- Sequence matters more than scope. A 200-item fix list is paralysing. The consultation cuts it to the 5–10 changes that move the needle in 90 days, and the 30 that wait. The order is set by what compounds — technical foundations and keyword targeting before content production, content roadmap before link-building, link-building before reputation work.
- AI visibility is now a sequencing question, not a separate channel. Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini already answer "best [service] in Windsor" with named businesses. Whether you’re named depends on schema, E-E-A-T, and extractable content — all of which sit inside the SEO consultation, not outside it. AEO/GEO is the same lever, applied to a different reader.
- The consultation is local-aware. Windsor and Southwestern Ontario don’t change SEO mechanics, but they change competitive context. National brands bid the same keywords across Ontario. The SEO consultation finds the long-tail, the cross-border, and the geo-modified clusters that national players don’t serve well — the queries where a Windsor-based SMB can actually win.
- You leave with a roadmap you can act on without us. Most operators run their own fixes after one consultation. Some bring us back monthly. A few move into ongoing engagement through LOCALiQ. The consultation is the doorway — not a sales gate.
The method, applied to SEO consultation
Pull. Pinpoint. Prove.
Three steps, one session. The depth of each step is shaped to your account and goals — the order does not change.
Data before opinion.
Before the session, we pull the signals: Search Console rankings and click-through curves, technical foundations (Core Web Vitals, indexation, schema coverage), keyword footprint and content inventory, local SEO signals (GBP, NAP, reviews), and AI-engine citation presence across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AIO. No hypothesis until the inputs are on the table.
Cause, not symptom.
“Rankings are down” is a measurement, not a finding. Each gap traces back to a specific lever — thin content on a high-intent cluster, technical debt on a key template, an unclaimed GBP, schema that doesn’t match the entity, missing E-E-A-T signals on a YMYL page. The fix list is sequenced by impact and effort so the order of operations is obvious.
Roadmap on paper.
The consultation ends with written notes you can read, share, and act on — whether the work runs in-house, through your existing agency, or through LOCALiQ. Where the engagement extends past the session, the notes are the foundation the next phase is built on. Either way, the roadmap is yours.
What we cover
Four surfaces, one sequenced roadmap.
Every SEO consultation works the same four surfaces. Depth shaped to your account and goals; the surfaces don’t change. No bound deliverables, no boilerplate — we leave with notes written for the operator who has to decide what to do next month, this quarter, and over 12 months.
Keyword strategy
Commercial-intent clusters, geo-modified long-tail, "near me" capture via local signals, AI-engine query patterns. The keywords that compound for an SMB in Southwestern Ontario don’t look like the head-term lists national tools surface — we map yours from search behaviour, competitive context, and conversion data.
Technical foundations
Core Web Vitals, indexation, schema coverage, internal linking, canonicalisation, sitemap hygiene, rendering for JavaScript-heavy templates. Technical SEO is the floor — nothing else compounds until it’s solid. We don’t fix it in the session; we sequence the fixes so nothing important waits behind cosmetic work.
Content roadmap
Cluster mapping, pillar-page architecture, content gaps versus competitors, what to write next month vs. next quarter. We don’t produce content in the session — we decide what gets produced, in what order, and what existing content gets refreshed first because refreshes outperform new content most of the time.
AI visibility (AEO/GEO)
Whether ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AIO cite you on the queries that matter for your business today. E-E-A-T signals, schema for generative engines, content extractability, citation-readiness. AI visibility is part of the SEO consultation — not a separate channel, not a separate engagement.
Built for three altitudes
Same consultation. Different altitudes.
- ManagerA sequenced action list with effort tiers — what to ship this sprint, this quarter, this year. Content refreshes, on-page fixes, schema additions, GBP claim, internal-link cleanup. The operational moves a marketing manager can run without a second meeting.
- DirectorA roadmap mapped to revenue impact — defensible at the next budget review. Keyword footprint vs. competitor share, traffic-to-revenue model, technical-debt risk register. Built so a marketing director can present it without a translator.
- VPA read on where the buyer journey is forming — including the AI-search surface most consultations skip. Whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AIO are routing your category queries to your brand or somebody else’s, and what it takes to change that in 6–12 months.
Frequently asked — SEO consultation
What operators ask us before booking.
-
What’s the difference between an SEO audit and an SEO consultation?
The audit is the artefact — a written diagnostic of what’s broken or under-performing on your site. The SEO consultation is the working session where we decide what to fix first, what to fix later, and what to leave alone. Most operators start with the free 48-hour SEO & technical audit, then move to a consultation when they need sequence and trade-offs, not just a list.
-
How much does an SEO consultation cost?
The first 60-minute SEO consultation is offered without charge for SMB and mid-market operators running $5K–$50K/month in digital marketing spend (paid + organic + tooling). Ongoing engagements are scoped against the roadmap that comes out of the session — we don’t quote until we know what we’re sequencing. No retainer is required; you keep the notes either way.
-
Do you sell ongoing SEO services, or just consultations?
Both, structured as a ladder. The free marketing audit is the entry. The SEO consultation is the mid-step. Ongoing execution — content production, technical fixes, link work, AI-visibility programs — runs through LOCALiQ, where the audit and consultation already give us the operating context most agencies spend the first 60 days assembling. You can stop at any tier; many operators run the fixes themselves after one consultation and never call us back.
-
Will the consultation cover Google Ads too, or just SEO?
SEO is the primary surface, but the consultation covers Google Ads where it overlaps — Quality Score on branded vs. non-branded, paid-and-organic interaction (when to bid on terms you already rank for), and the SEM vs. SEO trade-off for high-CPL categories like insurance, legal, and home services. If your account is primarily paid-search-driven, a separate Google Ads consultation is the cleaner fit — we’ll suggest it if the audit points that direction.
-
Can you help me appear in ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews?
Yes — AI visibility (AEO/GEO) is part of every SEO consultation, not a separate engagement. We read your citation surface across Google AIO, ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini on the queries that matter for your business. The fix is rarely "more content" — it’s schema completeness, E-E-A-T signals, content extractability, and entity match. Most SMBs can move the needle in 6–12 weeks once the foundations are set.
-
Do I need to be in Windsor or Southwestern Ontario to book?
No. The consultation runs remotely — one 60-minute video call with your account, your audit, and any tooling we agreed to pull open at the same time. The book is concentrated across Windsor, Essex County, Chatham-Kent, Sarnia-Lambton, and London because those are the markets we read most closely, but the SEO mechanics travel; we run consultations across Ontario and into the wider Canadian and US SMB market regularly.
-
How do I book?
Drop your site URL in the chat at the top of this page for a Quick Score, or go straight to the contact form and ask for an SEO consultation. We’ll come back inside one business day with the audit window and the consultation slot. No phone tag, no qualifying call, no decks before the work starts.
60-minute working session. Account open. Roadmap on paper. No retainer required.
After the audit, the conversation.
Chris Gardner runs the SEO consultation covering keyword strategy, technical foundations, content roadmap, and AI visibility — and you leave with a sequenced plan you can run yourself, hand to your agency, or extend into a LOCALiQ engagement. The notes are yours either way.
